Think it's Captain America versus Iron Man, or Batman versus Superman? Not really. It's more than that.

So, you've probably had a chance to see both of these previews.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters in March. Captain America: Civil War is in theaters two months later in May. The "battle" is actually a competition between two comic book companies and their movie studios: Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. They're the studios behind Marvel and DC. The two companies are known for competition. Trying to top each other in revenue and sales.

Comic book fan sites have spent the last two weeks breaking down each preview, beat by beat. Comic Book Resources even compared the two, side by side.

Marvel has been building a film franchise by linking all of their films - and even their television series - together. It all started in 2008, with the first Iron Man movie. Marvel is now into what it calls "Phase Three" of it's film plan. Dr. Strange is due next year. Black Panther is coming soon, along with a number of film sequels.

DC is launching a new film franchise with March's Batman V. Superman. Afterward, Warner Bros. will be releasing a Justice League live action film, followed by solo films for Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Green Lantern, with a sequel for Superman and a new film for Ben Affleck's Batman. These films will be separate from the television shows you're watching: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

Based on the preview, which film are you more excited to see?

It almost looks like most of the movie is in the Batman V. Superman preview. There were a few spoilers that kind of took away an element of surprise the movie might have in the theater. I still kinda want to see how it turns out, though.

How about you?
