Community Notification Meeting For Rochester Sex Offender
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is hosting a community notification meeting this evening concerning a Level 3 sex offender living in the city.
A news release indicates 33-year-old Derek Thomas Jeter is moving into a residence in the 1200 block of 1st Street Southwest on Tuesday. Rochester Police say Jeter’s criminal history includes a third-degree criminal sexual conduct conviction involving a 15-year-old girl and a conviction for possessing child pornography.
The community notification meeting concerning Jeter’s change of address will be held at the United Way Building at 903 West Center Street beginning at 6 PM. Representatives of the Rochester Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Corrections will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
