Costco Offering Crazy Membership Deal on Groupon

Despite how much my husband loves Costco, we don't have a membership. I feel like it's just too much food for two people! However, we might need to get a membership with this deal being offered on Groupon. For a limited time, you can get a Costco membership plus a $20 shop card and coupons for just $60

It's a one-year Costco Gold Star Membership Package that you would get with this deal. Groupon says it's valued at $148.98. And you would only have to pay $60!

I do have some bad news though. This deal is only valid for new members or members who's membership expired before May 1st of 2019.

Here's the thing though, I'm not a Costco member so this might be something you definitely can't do, but let's say your name is on your current membership. Couldn't your partner go and get a different membership with this deal (as long as they're a new customer of course)? I don't know, I'm just trying to find a work-around for you!
