Rochester, It’s Time to Vote for Your Favorite ‘Circus After Dark’ Creepy Dolls
Are you ready to get a little spooky? The History Center of Olmsted County is! They're getting all set for spook season with their resident creepy dolls. Yep, the ones who went viral a few years ago.

Creepy Dolls at the History Center of Olmsted County
It all started in 2019 when the History Center, in Rochester, shared photos of some creepy and not normally seen dolls from the artifact collection.
People online had to vote for their favorite creepy doll and the contest took off. Since then, and since the pandemic, the History Center started to turn it into an in-person event featuring new creepy dolls.
But don't worry, they won't run out of dolls to feature soon. Turns out, they've got over 125 vintage dolls in the artifact collection! They're from between the 18th and 21st centuries and all have ties to Olmsted County.
2024 Creepy Doll Event
This year's event will have our favorite online voting, as usual. Last year was a murder mystery theme. This year, we're heading to the circus!
The dolls will be shared on Facebook throughout the month of October so you'll want to follow The History Center of Olmsted County to watch for all of the dolls to make their debut. I'll also update this post as the dolls are revealed.
Vote for Your Favorite Creepy Doll!
The time has come to vote for your favorite creepy doll! I'll show you all of the contestants for this year below. To vote, you'll have to go comment on their Facebook post or I believe you can vote in person at the History Center.
More of the dolls will be posted throughout the month, so make sure to check back!
Join the Creepy Dolls for a Party
They'll also be doing another in-person event this year like last year.
The party will take place the night of Saturday, October 19th. They will have some acrobatic performers to fit the circus theme, but there will also be a costume contest for attendees, dinner, a cash bar, a DJ, and plenty of fun. Plus, the dolls will be there too!
It's an 18+ event and costs $50 per person, which includes your dinner. Tickets are on sale right now, but sales close on October 9th.
I'm looking forward to seeing the creepy dolls that will be featured this year!
