Elgin Traffic Victim Identified
Elgin, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the Plainview man who was fatally injured in a traffic wreck near Elgin Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was 25-year-old Tanner Boehmke.
Witnesses say he ran a stop sign at the intersection of County Rd 21 and 80th Ave and was hit broadside on the driver’s side of his vehicle by another pickup truck. That vehicle was driven by 73-year-old Donald Walch of Eyota, who was treated at the scene.
Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Kirby Long says Boehmke had to be cut from the wreckage and had no pulse when he was removed. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital where was pronounced dead about an hour after the wreck.
