One town in southeast Minnesota is making getting outdoors even easier for the whole family with their Movies in the Park series.
Outdoor Movies Sored in Popularity in 2020
I don't know this for an absolute fact but I'm pretty certain movies in the park-type events skyrocketed in 2020. People were still able to get out of the house and do something fun but outdoors and far enough away from others.
There are some things that I'm really glad to have carried over from the pandemic and outdoor movies are one of them. It's just a fun way to spice up movie night plus it gets everyone outdoors for a bit.
Sadly, some towns didn't continue their outdoor movies after a few years, which is unfortunate. But one small southeast Minnesota town is keeping it going! And they actually started doing these movies in the park before 2020.

The Eyota Summer Recreation Program has been doing their Movies in the Park series for a while now. I found Movies in the Park Facebook events from 2017.
This year, there are four movies planned throughout the summer. Make plans to grab the kids and make some popcorn to check out one of these free Movies in the Park this summer.
All movies start at dusk and will be held either at West Side Park or Downtown.
