A small vet clinic in southeast Minnesota near Rochester has closed and moved all of their patients to a nearby vet clinic. The closure should be temporary, though.

The vet clinic that has closed for the time being is the Eyota Vet Clinic.

We just recently got a tip that the clinic had closed and when we did more research we realized that the clinic had actually closed on April 1st, 2025.

An announcement was shared on the Eyota Vet Clinic's Facebook page back in the middle of March letting people know that they would be closing temporarily. There's also an announcement on their website.

The Facebook announcement says, "Starting April 1, 2025, Eyota Veterinary Clinic will be temporarily closing, and all appointments will be seen at Lewiston Veterinary Clinic."

They also write, "We're here to make this transition as smooth as possible".

The trouble is, the Lewiston Vet Clinic is quite a bit further away depending on where you were driving from to visit the Eyota Vet Clinic.

Why is the Eyota Vet Clinic Closed?

I'm not sure why the Eyota Vet Clinic decided to close temporarily, they didn't share that information anywhere that I looked.

On the Eyota Vet Clinic's website, they list 4 veterinarians, so it's not like there's only one and something happened where they have to close for the time being. Maybe there were some issues with the building that need to be fixed and that's why they closed.

That's speculation though, I don't know for certain why they closed.

Also, on their Facebook announcement, someone had asked when they'd be reopening and the clinic said, "At the present time we do not have a scheduled date."
