Farmer's Almanac Prediction for Winter 2025-2026 in Minnesota
After a mild winter the past two years, I'm a little worried that we might be due for a nasty winter this year. Sadly, that may be accurate if the Farmer's Almanac prediction holds up.

The Farmer's Almanac released their predictions for winter 2025-2026, and it's not sounding great. They're describing it as a 'wild ride' and that we should be prepared for 'chill, snow, repeat'. Great...
Their prediction starts in December and they're anticipating a "cold snap" that might "keep the December holidays in a winter chill."
They're also predicting a "significant cold snap" in mid-January and another in mid-February. They also mention that our area of the country is "set for a classic winter wonderland'.
That's a nice way of saying lots of snow.
Their calendar summary says Minnesota will be very cold and snowy this winter. I know we've been spoiled with our mild winters, and yes, a cold and snowy winter is far more normal, but I'm still not ready.
Let's see if Mother Nature agrees with the Farmer's Almanac, though. Here are some signs from nature that could predict a bad winter is on the way.
