If you are planning on stopping at Flapdoodles on the north end of Rochester Thursday, you will need to drive a few more miles to their south location. They are currently closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

Flapdoodles shared the following news on their website:

THE NORTH STORE WILL BE CLOSED ON THURSDAY, JULY 16TH, REOPENING ON FRIDAY, JULY 17TH. IN THE MEANTIME, THE SOUTH STORE IS OPEN FROM 11:00 AM TO 10:00 PM SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FOR DINE-IN, CARRY OUT, AND CURBSIDE DELIVERY - FACE MASK IS REQUIRED FOR SERVICE.

The reason for the closing was announced on their Facebook page on Wednesday, July 15th:

Earlier today we learned that one of our north store employees tested positive for Covid-19. This afternoon, we promptly sent home employees currently working at the north store who had recent contact with the infected employee. As a precautionary measure, the north store will be closed the rest of today. Our south store is currently open since we can say with absolute confidence that none of the south employees have had recent contact with the infected employee. We are following guidelines and doing our best to navigate this situation, and would appreciate your patience and understanding. Stay tuned for updates as we determine the best path forward.

This is such a hard situation for businesses right now but I am so thankful for the companies that are being transparent with the community and their customers.
