Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for western Olmsted County and northern Dodge County. It will be in effect through 10:30 AM Friday.

Torrential rain has been falling across a section of SE Minnesota since early Friday.

There has been a line of thunderstorms moving through an area from Mankato to Winona, producing 2 - 3 inches of rain and another inch or two could fall. The Weather Service says flash flooding could begin at any time.

Some locations that will experience flooding include:.
Rochester, Dodge Center, Mantorville, Kasson, Byron, Oronoco, West
Concord, Wasioja, Douglas, Rock Dell, Concord, and Rochester
Airport.

As of 5:00 AM Friday, the Rochester airport had received nearly five inches of rain since midnight.
