During this extreme heat, it's important to stay cool. One of those ways to stay cool may include visiting one of Rochester's free beaches or splash pads.

We've got three free beaches in town and two free splash pads. I'm sure these will be busy this week, but they're a great way to cool off and still have some fun. When summer is so short we have to make the most of it and not sit inside all day!

Free Beaches in Rochester, MN

Let's start with the free beaches in town.

Cascade Lake Beach

Near Hwy 52 and 14, just off of 2nd St. SW

Open every day, 6 AM to dusk

Foster Arend Park Beach

Near North Broadway, just off of 37th St. NE

Open every day, noon - 8 PM

Foster Arend also has an inflatable water park, but you have to pay an admission fee to use that.

Chester Woods Park Beach

Off of Hwy 14 east of Rochester

Open every day, 10 AM - 6 PM

Free Splash Pads in Rochester, MN

As for the free splash pads in Rochester...

Lincolnshire Splash Pad

Just off of 55th St. NW

Open every day, 10 AM - 8 PM

Silver Lake Splash Pad

On 7th St. NE (next to the new Silver Lake Pool)

Open every day, 10 AM - 8 PM

This is the newest splash pad in town! It opened at the same time as the Silver Lake Pool.
