Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a dog that bit a teenager late last week.

A spokesman says the older yellow lab-type dog jumped up on the juvenile and bit him on the arm at Cascade Lake around 8 PM Friday. The dog was with its owners, but it is unknown if it was up to date on its rabies vaccination. That means the teenager is having to begin the series of shots for rabies today as a precaution.

The owner of the dog, or anyone who knows who the owner is, is urged to contact the Rochester Animal Control Shelter at 507-328-6960 option 1.
