I've got two little ones in daycare so I know the struggle. Daycare is expensive, but if you have the right provider it's worth it. Our daycare lady is awesome and is worth every cent we pay her.

The Center on Children and Families at the Brookings Institute just analyzed data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2016 Early Childhood Program Participation Survey and found that a family with a child under five will spend an average of $8,320 per year for childcare.

That along with your mortgage and other bills can certainly cause a lot of stress.

You can get ahead by simply saving a little each month. If you saved $50 from each paycheck - you'd have $1200 at the end of the year. That would make the stress of Christmas a little easier, right?
