Schools are now teaching kids that good sportsmanship is a bad idea, apparently.

Zach Hougland, a high school cross country runner was running one of the best races of his life - only to be disqualified for an act of kindness.

During the race, Zach saw that one of the fellow runners was having severe difficulties and looked like he was ready to pass out.  He ran over and began helping the runner get closer to the finish line.

By the time both of them got there though, officials informed them that they had both been disqualified because according to the rules, "no runner can help or receive aid from another runner, so they were both disqualified".
