
Hy-Vee’s Round-Up Campaign Delivers HUGE Gift to SE MN Charity
Hy-Vee operates 285 stores across 8 Midwestern states including Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and was recently named the best grocery store in America.
I shop there a lot and always go to the self-checkout lane. Once I’ve scanned my items and selected my payment, I always get a prompt asking if I'd like to "round up". I’m sure everyone has seen this. I'm not sure how many people say yes to rounding up, but today, I learned where that spare change goes.

Even if just a small amount of customers choose to round up, those extra pennies, nickels, and dimes add up. Hy-Vee just announced that money is being used to make a massive donation to a southeast Minnesota charity.

Channel One Regional Food Bank helps feed thousands of people in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin and is getting a HUGE donation from Hy-Vee.
Thanks to Hy-Vee’s customers, $405,220.70 was donated to Channel One Regional Food Bank—a massive contribution that’s help fight hunger in our area. This donation comes from a 20-month-long campaign between Hy-Vee, Feeding America, and food bank partners.
Hy-Vee has also teamed up with food manufacturers and suppliers to provide both food and financial support to 19 different Feeding America partner food banks across the Midwest.
