I shop there a lot and always go to the self-checkout lane. Once I’ve scanned my items and selected my payment, I always get a prompt asking if I'd like to "round up". I’m sure everyone has seen this. I'm not sure how many people say yes to rounding up, but today, I learned where that spare change goes.

Thanks to Hy-Vee’s customers, $405,220.70 was donated to Channel One Regional Food Bank—a massive contribution that’s help fight hunger in our area. This donation comes from a 20-month-long campaign between Hy-Vee, Feeding America, and food bank partners.

Hy-Vee has also teamed up with food manufacturers and suppliers to provide both food and financial support to 19 different Feeding America partner food banks across the Midwest.
