I Tried Jersey Jo’s For The First Time, And I Am A Fan
It’s been open for a few months, but yesterday I finally checked out Jersey Jo’s for the first time. It was worth the wait!
Jersey Jo’s is out on 16th Ave SW, and serves legit East Coast Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches (the owner grew up in South Jersey and is a huge Philly sports fan). You can tell by the Eagles memorabilia hung up everywhere. They have a lot of different sandwiches and burgers to choose from, which I will definitely be trying in the future, but I ended up sticking with the traditional Philly Cheesesteak sub along with a side of Cheesesteak fries for my first time. Check this bad boy out:
They gave my sandwich a nice, spicy kick, which made it among the more unique Philly sandwiches I've had. Good stuff. The Cheesesteak Fries were also quite tasty, as I am a huge sucker for anything with melted cheese. I couldn’t finish all of it in one sitting, but you could probably get away with sharing a side of fries with someone.
Overall, if you're looking for some solid comfort food with plenty of meat and cheese, you really can't go wrong with Jersey Jo's. I'm definitely planning on going back again.
