Ideas That Could Have Changed Star Wars

Have you seen The Force Awakens yet? George Lucas has a great imagination. Not ALL of his Star Wars ideas were awesome.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has earned $238 Million Dollars at the box office. My three kids and I saw it Sunday night. We were in the front row. We got the last tickets for the 7pm showing - it was sold out!

George Lucas had some great ideas for Star Wars, but according to Cracked.com, not all of them were spectacular.

Cracked put together VII ideas that George Lucas had that would have taken the film franchise in a completely different direction.

Lucas' ex-wife, Marsha, was his "muse" and film-editor on the first film, Episode IV: A New Hope. According to legend, she is credited with making it the Star Wars we all know and love. According to Marsha, George Lucas was toying with a few ideas. One of them turned out to fix the "love triangle" of the film. Instead of having Luke and Han fight over Leia, the Princess turns out to be Luke's sister. SPOILER ALERT: Darth Vader turns out to be their father.

One idea was that Darth Vader and Boba Fett would be brothers. How's that for a spin on the whole Skywalker family tree! The idea came up during The Empire Strikes Back. I think we can all breathe easier dodging that tremor in The Force. That would have been too much of a coincidence and too much of a "small world after all". A Sith Lord for a father and a bounty hunter for an uncle? Talk about a doomed relationship for Han and Leia.

Another idea that could have made the prequel trilogy, including Revenge of the Sith worse was the idea that Senator Palpatine - The Emperor, who turned out to be (SPOILER ALERT) Darth Sidious - would be Anakin Skywalker's father.

So, evil Sith Lord dad, evil Bounty Hunter uncle, and evil Emperor of the galaxy grandfather. Yowza, Just imagine how awkward the holidays would be with that combination!
