Why doesn't Rochester have a huge indoor water park? It's a question we get from listeners all of the time. You would think a city that attracts close to 3 million visitors every year would have one. My wife and I are planning a little getaway over spring break week and want to take our kids to one. So I did some research and found these 4 awesome indoor water parks on Trip Advisor.

My family and I stayed at the newly opened Great Wolf in Bloomington, MN.we had 3 rooms for 14 of us ranging in age of 1 to 59. While they had a few wrinkles to iron out, the staff was excellent and our experience overall was wonderful. There was lots for every age to do and the waterpark is very well run. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back again!

The water park is definitely the best feature at this hotel. First of all the decor in the waterpark is fantastic...stars above and the walls replicating Italy from floor to ceiling. It has slides for every age, a huge hot tub, 4 water basketball hoops, a kiddie pool with slides, a American Ninja Warrior style leap frog water course, a concession stand, small arcade lifeguards on duty and the best part is it’s all included in your stay! The hotel is well kept, Service is wonderful, and room service is great and available late (our son said the best pizza he has ever had). We love Holiday Inn because you can rent movies in the rooms. This hotel is located right next door to wonderful shopping and restaurants. Only 30 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the Mall of America. We will definitely bring our family back!

What a fabulous stay! We had spent a week in Northern MN and were looking at a 12 hour ride home on our daughter's 6th Birthday. Instead, we stopped half way at this hotel. Upon learning of our daughter's birthday at check-in, the staff treated her like a princess...she was given a choice of stuffed animals, an envelope of tokens for the arcade, and an cream treat at the water park. We are IHG members and were given an upgrade to a family suite. The water park was fantastic! Very clean, not too busy, and such fun for our girls. Thank you for providing us a perfect end to our vacation week and special birthday celebration for our daughter.

My daughter and I took my grandson there for an overnight stay. We played at the water park and had a great time. The lobby, room, hallways, and pool area were very clean, well-lit, and inviting. We ate at the Italian restaurant, and it was a little spendy but the food was very good. The service was not that great but adequate. We ordered drinks when the entrees came, and they didn't come until we had almost finished eating, but we could take them to our room, so that was okay. All in all, a very nice outing, and we will go back.
Have you ever been to any of these? Let me know if they're worth checking out!
Samm and I actually got to tour the Great Wolf Lodge during their Grand Opening week. Check out this video for a virtual tour:
