What a senseless, and tragic event.

Overnight, a gunman opened fire from a hotel room above a packed, outdoor concert in Las Vegas, killing at least 58, wounding 515 more making this the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Try reading that last sentence without your stomach twisting in knots.

It's hard to understand why this had to happen. But that's with any horrific tragedy. No doubt you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who was there, and that makes everyone involved scarred for life because none of it should have happened in the first place.

I was just scrolling across my newsfeed on Facebook, when I saw a friend had posted this on her page:

476 days.
That's how long Pulse Nightclub held the horrific title of "worst mass shooting in U.S. history"
How many days until the next?
Virginia Tech held the title for 3,345 days before innocent people were murdered at Pulse.
I heard on the radio this morning that the stock in Smith and Wesson went up over 4% because people will be scared their gun buying ability would be taken away.

Think about that: 476 days! It shouldn't be this way...

But I'd just like to say that now's not the time to be pointing fingers, or staking our claims on who's political views are more just.

Now is a time to mourn. It's a time to hold our families a little bit closer, and it's a time to love one another.

One last thing...
