Well, this isn't great but it is what it is. A recent study has listed the top twenty most dangerous cities in the country.

Why does this matter? Because Minnesota and Wisconsin cities both made the cut. This study was done by Safe And Sound Security and was updated just last month.

The way this study was put together is pretty simple, with analysts looking at the crime rate in some of the biggest cities in the country.

Another interesting facet of this study? The list also reveals the most common crime in said city. Sadly, the midwest is front and center here.

Minnesota City Makes The Top Five

This might not come as a huge shock to you but Minneapolis made the list, coming in at number four! According to the study, there are about 66 crimes per every 1,000 people.

The most common crime is aggravated assault, which is really scary. This study cites how much violent crime is a problem in the area, and how the massive city is working to reduce crime as we speak.

Wisconsin Also Makes The Cut

Milwaukee also made the list, although ranked further down than Minneapolis, coming in at number 11. According to this study, the crime rate is about 51 crimes per 1,000 people.

The most common type of crime in Milwaukee? Aggravated assault. This is definitely not the type of list we want to be known for making.

Late last year, the FBI revealed their list of the most dangerous cities and both Minneapolis and Milwaukee were named so this pretty much checks out, unfortunately.

As for the rest of the list, Memphis, St. Louis and Little Rock are the top three most dangerous cities in the country. New Orleans and Detroit also made the list. Sigh.
