Nobody wants to hear about winter right now and I know that! It's been a great summer for the Northland and it's still hanging on.
In fact, at the time of writing, we are expected to see a very hot weekend ahead with temperatures climbing close to the 90s in some parts of our region. Yikes!

Weather is always a hot topic for us here in Minnesota and Wisconsin, considering anything can happen at any time. Snow in September? That is never out of the question.
We are known for being cold after all. However, summer will give way to fall eventually and we want to be prepared, right? That's why I looked into when Superior and surrounding regions might see their first frost.

Sad news for those in Superior - the first predicted frost date is October 2nd! That is a few days before Duluth. Sigh. At least it will be just in time for spooky season? And it's still a ways away so we don't need to panic just yet.
