Recently, it was announced that comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short would be returning to Minnesota. The two have been touring together for a decade, with their first live show, "An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Lives," beginning in 2015.

The two men became friends when they joined forces, along with Chevy Chase, for the cult classic 'Three Amigos', and that friendship continues to bring great success for both, with their live comedy tours and the award-winning show 'Only Murders In The Building'.

Over the years, they have since reinvented and renamed that show, keeping some of the popular bits while adding new material, and have kept touring the country, including several stops in Minnesota.

Originally, it was announced that their new 'Greatest Hits' tour would be in Minneapolis for one show on February 28, 2026, but good news arrrived this week for those who were unable to get a ticket for that show.

Steve Martin & Martin Short Add 2nd Show At The Orpheum Theatre In Minneapolis

Hennepin Arts shared the good news through social media that, due to popular demand, 'The Best Of Steve Martin & Martin Short' tour has added another show at the Orpheum Theatre, located at 910 Hennepin Avenue.

The newly added second show will actually take place before the originally scheduled show; it's scheduled for 3 pm on the same day, Saturday, February 28.

Tickets for the new matinee performance will be available online at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 3, but presale codes will be provided to those who sign up for the Hennepin Arts email list.

If you don't already have tickets, I highly recommend you get them for the added show. I've had the opportunity to see them twice already, and both times were laugh-out-loud funny.
