Several comedians have been added to the cast as newcomers, and one of those is from Minnesota! Tommy Brennan is a St. Paul native. He's a 2012 graduate from Cretin-Derham Hall.

Tommy made his debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this summer, and he killed it. In his standup, he talked about coming from a family of 8 in the Midwest, with most of them sisters. He jokes about how learning to fight with his sisters has turned his dating life into an interesting arena.

He has a very Midwestern, Minnesota nice-guy appeal. In fact, he jokes about how he's never been in a fight, but his delivery and perspective are spot on.

Brennan joins Veronika Slowikowska, Jerey Culhane, and Kam Patterson as newcomers. Ben Marshall, known as part of the "Please Don't Destroy" group, has been moved up to a feature player role for season 51.

The 51st season of Saturday Night Live will premiere on October 4, 2025. There has been no host announced for the premiere at the moment.
