Forget Pumpkin Spice, This is the Minnesota Fall Drink You NEED to Try
A popular Minnesota cidery has teamed up with a well known bacon brand for a new fall flavor.
This month seems to be perfect timing for this collab, as October is National Cider Month and National Pork Month, creating a delicious synergy that's sure to capture the attention of fall flavor enthusiasts.

Minneapolis-based Number 12 Cider and Farmland bacon have created a limited-edition Maple Bacon-flavored Cider that is now on tap at the cidery.
The new Maple Bacon-flavored Cider will also be for sale in four-packs of cans starting soon at the Number 12 Cider taproom.
A 12 ounce pour of the cider will set you back $8, and four-packs to go will cost $12. The cider uses locally sourced apples and maple syrup along with "natural smoked bacon flavoring", so don't expect chunks of bacon floating around in your drink.
"This one-of-a-kind blend of sweet and savory perfectly taps into the fall season, and we're excited for our bacon fans to try it out", said Clara Meschini, associate brand manager for Farmland.
Apples and pork products have always paired nicely together, so I'm sure that this combo will also work nicely for a fun fall flavor. I'll be honest, it seems strange to pair up with a bacon company, when you're just using bacon flavoring in the cider. I guess it adds "authenticity", but in the end, it's just a generic bacon flavoring used in the cider, I'm sure.
There doesn't seem to be any plans to roll this beverage out statewide, so you'll need to make a trip to the Twin Cities to try out this creation.
