Grammy Award Winning Couple Bringing Art Collection to Minnesota

Two Grammy Award-winning artists that are also a married couple are bringing their valuable and historical collection of art to Minnesota next year.

A Celebration of Black Art in Minnesota

The Dean Collection is renowned for its extensive holdings of contemporary art, particularly works by Black American, African, and African diasporic artists. The collection includes pieces by Kehinde Wiley, Hassan Hajjaj, and Barkley L. Hendricks, among others.

About the Dean Collection that's Coming to Minnesota

Founded by Kasseem Dean, more commonly known as Swizz Beatz, and his wife Alicia Keys, "Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys" will have its first major showcase at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) in 2025.

The exhibition is set to open on March 9th, 2025, and run through July 13th will feature more than 100 works in Mia's Target Gallery.

Exhibition Details and Tickets

Tickets will go on sale after the New Year and general admission tickets will cost $20, with discounted tickets at $16 for Contributor Members and free entry for youth 17 and under.

Prior to its presentation at Mia, "Giants" was showcased at the Brooklyn Museum from February 10 to July 7, 2024. The exhibition is scheduled to travel to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta from September 13, 2024, to January 19, 2025, before arriving in Minneapolis.

Swizz Beatz, a Grammy Award–winning record producer, DJ, and businessman, and Alicia Keys, a 16-time Grammy Award–winning singer, songwriter, and producer, are both influential figures in the music industry.
