This Minnesota Tiny Home On Lake Superior Has A 9 Month Waitlist!
Want to get away one last time this summer? I don't think you are alone in your thinking. I've been keeping my eye on these tiny home rentals on Lake Superior, and on average you need to book 9 months out! Don't get me wrong they look like they offer spectacular views of the inland sea that is Superior, but that's a long wait, hoping for nice weather in a state where you wait 5 minutes and the weather is changing.
The tiny home rentals are run by thehavens.co, and there are 4 tiny home rental options all along the 'coast' of Lake Superior. The one that seems to get everyone's attention is the 'overlook tiny home'; from this reel, I can see why people are clamoring to stay!
The tiny rental sleeps 2-4 adults and even includes its own private cedar sauna that you can enjoy as you unplug from work/life and relax to the sounds of waves crashing along the rocks.
As I mentioned this place is harder to get into than Fort Knox, as thehavens.co website, which includes a cabin personality test, states that the average wait to stay is 9 months.
When I looked at the availability it wasn't THAT bad, but there weren't many options, but since many of us are just a few hours from this amenity, you might be better suited for a mid-week unplug, rather than attempt booking a weekend.
Also, if you don't mind the fall/winter there is better availability to rent, so if you don't care about the weather outside, that might be your best choice.
Fun fact the rentals are all pet friendly too, so bring along that good boy or girl to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the North Shore.
