5 Vehicle Pile-Up on Highway 52 Near Chatfield
Chatfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released limited information concerning a multi-vehicle crash that shut down traffic on Highway 52 near Chatfield this afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 PM at the highway's intersection with 130th Avenue Southeast, which is about 2 miles northwest of Chatfield. A preliminary report indicates five vehicles were involved.
The State Patrol says two cars and an SUV were traveling south on Highway 52 while two pickup trucks were headed north when the vehicles collided at the intersection. The names of the vehicle occupants have not been released and information about any injuries they may have suffered is not available.
The State Patrol has said two of the cars were being driven by Chatfield men, ages 21 and 19. The southbound SUV was driven by a 41-year-old man from Iowa, while the northbound pickup trucks were being driven by a 19-year-old man from Sergeant and a 58-year-old man from Preston.
