Authorities ID Body Found in Zumbro River in Wabasha County
Millville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office has identified the person whose body was recovered from the Zumbro River this morning.
A news release says 62-year-old James A. Steiner of Alma, Wisconsin was found dead in a pickup truck after the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a flipped over vehicle in the river.
The call came in around 9:15 AM from a location along Wabasha County Road 11 about 3 miles northwest of Millville. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a pickup upside down in the river next to the embankment. The body of the victim was in the vehicle.
Wabasha County Chief Deputy Jim Moran says the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
