Authorities ID Minnesota Boy Who Died After Struck by Bus
Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Hennepin County Medical Examiners Office has released the name of the young boy who was struck and killed by a Metro Transit bus last week.
Mahad Ahmed Osman was 11 years old and lived in Brooklyn Park. the incident that took his life occurred around 6:15 a.m. on January 31 near an intersection along a four-lane county road in the Twin Cities suburb. The cause of death was listed as multiple blunt force injuries from being struck by the bus.
Metro Transit Police reported the child was standing on the roadway when he was hit. The driver of the bus was the person who called 911 to report striking the child. The preliminary report on the incident indicated there were no passengers on the bus.
