The drawing for the fourth-largest jackpot in the 20-year history of the Mega Millions game is set to take place at 10 p.m. Central Time. The jackpot broke through the $1 billion threshold after Friday night’s drawing did not result in a winner

It’s the second time this year the Mega Millions jackpot has soared over $1 billion. An Illinois resident won the $1.33 billion jackpot in July.

The record Mega Millions jackpot remains $1.537 billion, which was won by a single ticket in South Carolina on October 23, 2018. If there is not a winner Tuesday night, the jackpot will grow again before the next drawing on Friday. 

Mega Millions tickets are available at official lottery retailers in Minnesota and Iowa.
