Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman is facing second-degree assault and domestic assault charges for allegedly running over her boyfriend with her car last week.

Rochester police reported that officers were dispatched Friday afternoon to the 4100 block of East Frontage Road along Highway 52 and found a man with rips on his pants, along with bruising and road rash on his legs. He was transported to a local medical care facility and treated for a broken ankle.

According to the charges, the man stated that he was in a romantic relationship with Schultz and was involved in a verbal altercation with her at her apartment. He indicated he then left and went to the parking lot of a business, where he had arranged to be picked up by his father. While waiting, the man alleged Schultz drove into the parking lot and "gunned" her vehicle towards him.

The criminal complaint says he attempted to jump out of the way but was struck by the car and the vehicle ran over the lower half of his body. He also told police that Schultz then exited her vehicle and punched him "numerous times with a closed fist in the face" before she got back into her car and drove away.

Court records show a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order was issued to Schultz during today's arraignment. Her next court hearing was scheduled for March 9th.
