Closing Arguments Next Week in Rochester and Winona Murder Trials
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Closing arguments have been scheduled next week in two local murder trials.
The testimony portions of the Adam Fravel and Mustafa Bush murder trials concluded today.
Fravel is on trial for the murder of 27-year-old Madeline Kingsbury last year. He faces first and second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of the Winona woman, whose body was found near a remote rural road in Fillmore County last June.
His trial was moved from Winona to Mankato due to the extensive pretrial publicity surrounding the case, which attracted headlines internationally following her disappearance last March. The Blue Earth County jury hearing the case heard from five defense witnesses today after listening to several weeks of testimony from more than 70 prosecution witnesses.
Closing arguments will be presented to the jury next Wednesday and will be followed by deliberations.

Closing arguments have been scheduled next Monday in the case of Mustafa Bush. Opening statements in the Rochester man's trial were presented to an Olmsted County jury on Monday.
The 41-year-old Rochester man is also facing first and second-degree murder charges. Bush is accused of fatally shooting 41-year-old Kimberly Robinson on Christmas Day in 2022. Her body was found the following day dumped along a rural northwest Rochester road.
Bush was previously sentenced to prison for murder conviction connected to a fatal shooting in Rochester in 2006. The judge presiding over his current trial barred the jury from hearing any testimony concerning that case.
