Plainview Woman Charged for Two-Vehicle Injury Crash at Hwy. 52/Hwy. 14 East Interchange in Southwest Rochester

The two-vehicle crash occurred at the Hwy. 52/Hwy. 14 east interchange near the Apache Mall in southwest Rochester

Responding Rochester police officers saw a small SUV with its front airbags deployed. 33-year-old Kyli Rose Staudacher of Plainview was identified as the driver.

The criminal complaint indicates Staudacher had turned in front of the victim’s vehicle, which was traveling west on Hwy. 14/12th St. SW, causing a collision.

The victim told police she was suffering wrist and knee pain and was in need of an ambulance. Additional details about the victim’s condition are not listed in the complaint.

The charges say officers detected a strong alcoholic beverage odor coming from Staudacher, who admitted to having three glasses of wine at a bar prior to the crash.

A preliminary breath test measured Staudacher’s blood-alcohol concentration at 0.212. The complaint also indicates Staudacher failed field sobriety tests.

Investigators obtained a warrant to draw a sample of Staudacher’s blood, which has been sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Crime Lab for further testing.
