Crash at Southeast Minnesota Intersection Hospitalizes 3 People

St. Charles, MN (KROC-AM News)- Three people were taken to a hospital following a crash at a southeast Minnesota intersection early Saturday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the collision around 12:15 a.m. Three vehicles were involved. 

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Winona County Rd. 119 on the eastern edge of St. Charles. An eastbound car was waiting in the eastbound lane to make a left turn onto the county road. 

An eastbound pickup and westbound car arrived at the intersection and all three vehicles collided, according to the state crash report. 17-year-old Tessa Fay Ryan of St. Charles was identified as the eastbound car driver. 

She was taken from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Two people occupying the westbound car were also brought to St. Mary’s. 

The driver, identified as 46-year-old Pearly Robert Paapcrabb of Winona, and passenger, identified as 50-year-old Sarah Hong also from Winona, suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. 

19-year-old Quintin James Ehlo of Minneska, MN was identified as the pick-up driver. He was not hurt, the report says. Alcohol was not involved in the early morning crash and everyone was buckled up, according to the State Patrol. 

The St. Charles Police Department, St. Charles Ambulance, St. Charles Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department and Lewiston Ambulance also responded to the three-vehicle crash.
