
Rochester Man Among 5 Injured in Crash Near Winona
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man was among five people injured in a crash near Winona.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which happened shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The State Patrol indicates the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions.

Rochester Man Among 5 Hurt After Van & SUV Collide on Hwy. 43 Near Winona
A northbound SUV and southbound transit van collided on Hwy. 43. The state crash report says the collision occurred between Winona and Interstate 90, near the highway’s intersection with Winona County Rd. 21.
34-year-old Alexeis Guzman Romero of Rochester was driving the van. The State Patrol identified his passengers as 63-year-old Robert Brett Frosaker of Seattle, WA, 68-year-old Herbert Frerick Gust of Stoddard, WI and 63-year-old Leanne Mindrum Gust of Stoddard, WI.

38-year-old Asim Bashir Bhatti of Rogers, AR was driving the SUV. He was the sole occupant in that vehicle, according to the State Patrol.
All five individuals involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Leanne was the only person treated at the scene. The four others were brought to Winona Health for further care, the State Patrol says.
Everyone was buckled up and alcohol was not involved, according to the state crash report. The State Patrol did not say which vehicle entered the opposite lane.
The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Lewiston Ambulance, Winona Area Ambulance and Wilson Fire also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
