Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The family of a teenage boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding a bike on the Fourth of July is reporting that he is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

A GoFundMe website created by his mother says Travanti who is identified only by his first name, is unresponsive and under sedation in the ICU at St. Marys Hospital. The online posting says he is being treated for a brain bleed, fractures around his eyes, liver lacerations, and a couple of broken bones.

The Rochester Police report on the incident indicates he was struck by an SUV around 10 o'clock Tuesday night. It occurred at the intersection of 9th Street and 3rd Avenue Southeast, which is where the city's fireworks display was taking place at Soldiers Field Park.

Officials reported emergency responders performed lifesaving measures on the teenager before he was transported to the hospital. They also noted that the person driving the SUV did not show any signs of impairment.
