The US Attorney's Office for Minnesota says 30-year-old Stephen Jeremiah Hansen earlier admitted to charges of production and attempted production of child pornography involving young children. Federal prosecutors say Hansen captured videos and photos of the child sexual abuse on his cell phone. At least 250 images of child sexual abuse materials were found in his possession. The US Attorney's Office says those digital files included materials he created and others downloaded from the Internet.

The charges against the northeastern Minnesota man were the result of an investigation led by the FBI, the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, and the St. Paul Police Department.
