A car and pick-up were both traveling south on the two-lane road when they collided, the state crash report says.

Rushford, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash on a southeast Minnesota highway sent a teen and another man to the hospital Wednesday.

The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 2 p.m. Both drivers were the only people involved in the Winona County collision.

Two Motorists Injured After Car and Pick-up Collide on Hwy. 43 in Winona County

The crash occurred on Hwy. 43 about seven miles north of Rushford at the highway’s intersection with Big Valley Dr.

A car and pick-up were both traveling south on the two-lane road when they collided, the state crash report says. The State Patrol did not say which vehicle was trailing.

31-year-old Tyler Michael Rehnelt of Winona was driving the pick-up. He was brought to a hospital in Winona with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

18-year-old Ethan Andrew Lanning of Rushford was driving the car. The State Patrol says he also suffered non-life-threatening injuries but was treated at the crash scene.

Lanning was buckled up and Rehnelt was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the state crash report. Alcohol was not involved in the crash.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Rushford Fire Department and Rushford Ambulance also responded to the crash.
