Infant Critically Injured in Minnesota Townhome Fire
Eden Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News) - A late morning fire at a Twin Cities suburb left an infant in critical condition.
The Eden Prairie Fire Department held a news conference this afternoon to discuss the incident. Fire Chief Scott Gerber says the fire was reported in a four unit townhome around 11:30 AM. The first firefighters to arrive at the scene reported the structure was "heavily involved in fire."

They were also notified of the possibility that a person could still be inside the home. Chief Gerber says an infant was located during a search of the burning residence and the child was transported by an ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition.
Four people from the home were found outside the residence. They were treated for injuries at the scene before they were transported to a hospital in stable condition. In addition, a firefighter suffered minor injuries that were treatable at the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
