The Winona County Attorney’s Office charged 29-year-old Adam Fravel with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the Winona woman’s death last week. He was arrested after a Fillmore County Sheriff’s Deputy found the body of the mother of two near Mable, concluding a 69-day search.

Fravel was booked into the Olmsted County Jail shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday. The booking came about five hours after Fravel was arraigned on the murder charges.

A Winona County judge set his conditional bail at $1 million on Friday. Winona County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeffery Mueller said Fravel is, “He is classified as a maximum security prisoner and Winona County Jail cannot hold that level of classification until our new jail opens.”

Winona County officials have said in the past that the new jail could open as soon as this month. Fravel’s next appearance in Winona County Court is set for July 20.
