Man Facing False Imprisonment, Sex Assault Chagres At Rochester, MN Treatment Facility
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A resident at a Rochester treatment facility is facing several felony charges after a worker escaped an alleged sexual assault.
The criminal complaint says the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a sexual assault at Oakridge Meriden Treatment Center in Rochester. The alleged sexual assault was reported on Tuesday.
The charges, filed Thursday in Olmsted County Court, say the worker entered the room of 36-year-old Loren Sarazin of Spring Valley. The victim told deputies Sarazin placed himself between her and the door and exposed himself to her.
The charges say Sarazin then began pleasuring himself and prevented the woman from leaving the room. The victim told deputies Sarazin then picked her up and attempted to undress her when she broke free of his grasp and ran out of the room.
Deputies then arrested Sarazin and brought him to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. Prosecutors charged Sarazin with a felony count of false imprisonment, felony fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, felony indecent exposure and a gross misdemeanor criminal sexual conduct charge.
The judge in the case set Sarazin’s bail at $500,000 without conditions. Court records indicate Sarazin has a criminal history that dates back to 2005 and includes felony convictions for domestic assault, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, weapons violations, burglary and theft.
His next court appearance is set for May 30.
