Mega Millions Jackpot Swells to Nearly $1 Billion

Undated (KROC-AM News)- There was not a winner for Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot.

That means the jackpot for Friday’s drawing has swelled to $940 million with a $484 million cash option. The numbers drawn Tuesday night were 25, 29, 33, 41 and 44, plus the gold Mega Ball 18.

It’s the second time in five months the game’s jackpot has been near $1 billion. An Illinois resident won the $1.33 billion jackpot in July. Friday’s jackpot is projected to be the fourth highest in the 20-year history of the game, a news release from game officials says.

The record jackpot remains $1.537 billion, which was won by a single ticket in South Carolina on October 23, 2018. The third highest jackpot came in January 2021 when a gambler in Michigan bought a ticket that ended up being worth $1.05 billion.

Friday’s drawing for the estimated $940 million jackpot is scheduled for 10 p.m.
