Rochester Man Gets Probation in Violent Home Invasion
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The second man convicted of charges stemming from a violent home invasion in Rochester last year has been sentenced.
Plea Agreement
Twenty-three-year-old Anthony Lamar Alexander entered into a plea agreement last November. Under the terms of the deal, he admitted to a felony count of aiding and abetting first-degree burglary involving assault and a misdemeanor count of aiding and abetting fifth-degree assault. In exchange, two other first-degree burglary charges and a felony theft charge were dismissed.

Court Orders Five Years of Probation
The Rochester man has now been sentenced to five years of probation and no additional jail time after receiving credit for the 216 days he had already spent in custody. Alexander was also given a stayed 48-month prison sentence that could be imposed if he fails to complete probation.
Intruders Allegedly Smashed Through Glass Door
Olmsted County court documents accused Alexander and three other men of barging into a northwest Rochester condominium by smashing through a sliding glass door. Once inside, the charges alleged the four intruders assaulted the occupant, who told police he was in the bathroom when he heard a loud "bang" on the sliding glass door and then saw the glass shatter as the men rushed inside.

Cash and Expensive Shoes Reportedly Stolen
During the assault, the criminal complaint says the victim was robbed of $3,000 in cash and a pair of shoes valued at around $1,800. The court document also states that a juvenile girl recorded a video of the crime on a cell phone.
Earlier Sentence Handed Down to Co-Defendant
The other man convicted in the case, 20-year-old Kane Lee Williams, was earlier sentenced to 90 days in jail and five years of probation. He was given credit for the 30 days he had already spent in jail and was granted work-release privileges.
