Charges: Rochester, MN Woman Captured at Gunpoint After Stealing Car, Fleeing Police & Crashing into Home

The car drove away when the officer activated his squad vehicle’s lights. The officer deactivated his lights and lost sight of the vehicle as it drove through a neighborhood, the charges say.

Police then found the vehicle in an undisclosed Rochester trailer park. An officer attempted to prevent the driver from leaving by blocking the vehicle and the car backed into a home and street signs, the complaint says.

The court document says the car’s right tire became punctured, which caused sparks to fly as the driver continued attempts to evade the officers.

A different officer then reported having a person at gunpoint, who was determined to be the suspect driver. The driver eventually complied with law enforcement commands and was taken into custody, according to the complaint.
