
Rochester Area Unemployment Falls, But Remains Above 2025 Levels
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area experienced a modest drop in its unemployment rate last month.
Rochester Area Jobless Rate Dips
The latest jobs report from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development put the jobless rate for Olmsted County in July at 3.6%. That was down two-tenths of a percentage point from June, but is a half a percentage point higher than the unemployment rate reported for July of last year.

Houston County Reports Region's Lowest Unemployment
Across the region, jobless rates last month were mainly steady or slightly lower. Houston County reported the lowest unemployment rate in southeastern Minnesota at 3.5%. The highest jobless rate was in Goodhue County, where it rose a tenth of a percentage point from June to 4.9%.

Minnesota Unemployment Rate Falls Slightly
Minnesota's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for July was 4.3%, which was down one-tenth of a percentage point from June. The statewide jobless rate reported for July of last year was 3.8%.
