Rochester woman's latest drug conviction sends her to prison

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman with a long history of felony drug offenses has been given a prison sentence for her latest conviction.

Prison Sentence For Rochester Drug Offender

Thirty-nine-year-old Anna Lynn Siegele, who is also known as Anna Lynn Adams, appeared before an Olmsted County judge today and was handed a 21-month prison sentence. She was given credit for 25 days she has already spent in jail.

Conviction Stems From Traffic Stop

Court records indicate the sentence stems from a traffic stop that occurred in Rochester on the evening of March 8, 2025. The criminal complaint says Siegele was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over after Rochester police officers observed the driver engage in a hand-to-hand transaction and commit several traffic violations.

The court document says the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Pipe With Residue Was on Her Lap

According to the criminal complaint, an officer was speaking with Siegele and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and spotted a pipe with residue in a bag on her lap. That led to the deployment of a K9, and while it was conducting an "open-air sniff" of the vehicle, the court document says Siegele admitted having a methamphetamine pipe in her possession.

More Than 100 Fentanyl Pills Found During Rochester Arrest

The resulting search led to the discovery of a bag containing more than 100 fentanyl pills. The court document says Siegele told the officers at the scene that she had forgotten the pills were in the bag.

Siegele was charged with one count of first-degree drug possession. Court records show that she entered into a plea agreement in early June and admitted to an amended charge of fifth-degree drug possession.

Extensive Criminal History

Her criminal history includes multiple previous felony drug convictions, including a second-degree drug possession conviction in 2020 that resulted in a stayed 88-month prison sentence and five years on probation. She was also convicted of illegal possession of a firearm in 2012 and was sentenced to five years in prison.
