Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are looking for the subject who threatened a clerk at a Rochester gas station with a gun Tuesday night.

Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers responded to the Holiday gas station in the 900 block of 37th St. Northwest around 10:20 p.m. on the report of an assault. Police met with the clerk who’s described as a 40-year-old Rochester woman.

The clerk told officers the suspect came into the store 3-4 times on Tuesday but left without buying anything. She said she went to the area of the store the subject was in during his final visit in the store and found him opening a pack of batteries

The clerk said she asked the suspect to return the batteries and leave the store. She said while walking the subject out the store, he turned around, made what was described as a threatening statement towards her and pointed a handgun at her. The clerk reported the subject then left the store on foot. 

Moilanen described the suspect as a 16-18-year-old black male with a light skin tone, standing at 5’10” with a large build. He’s also described as having short dreadlocks. So far no arrest has been made.
