
State Patrol Identifies Motorcyclist Killed in Southeast Minnesota Crash
Blooming Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol has released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in southeast Minnesota on Thursday.

Preliminary information indicated the motorcycle operator was a 57-year-old man from Austin.
The State Patrol responded to the deadly crash near Blooming Prairie shortly before noon.

The state crash report says the victim was driving his motorcycle north on Highway 218 near the junction with Highway 30 in Steele County.
The motorcycle then collided with a car that was traveling in the same direction.

On Friday morning the State Patrol identified the motorcyclist as Darren Samuel Thomas. He was wearing a helmet and was not under the influence of alcohol, the updated state crash report says.
The car was driven by 21-year-old Mya Anne Gaul of Montgomery. She had two passengers, both teenage girls.
They were all wearing seatbelts and were not injured.
The Blooming Prairie Police Department, Blooming Prairie Ambulance and Blooming Prairie Fire Department also responded to the deadly crash.
