State Patrol ID’s Victim of Fatal Southern Minnesota Crash
Marshall, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have identified the man who lost his life in a southwestern Minnesota traffic crash on Friday.
Weather was not listed as a factor in the tragedy. The State Patrol says deadly crash occurred shortly after 2:45 p.m.
The state crash report indicates a pickup collided with a semi truck at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 59 on the southwest edge of Marshall.
The pick-up driver, who died as a result of the collision, has been identified as 69-year-old Gary James Snook of Lynd, MN. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Snook was not buckled up at the time of the collision and alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash, the report says.
The truck driver has been identified as 30-year-old Taylor Ronald Schmidt of Ruthon MN. He was not hurt, according to the state crash report.
