Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash on a southeast Minnesota highway resulted in injuries for two children and two adults.

One vehicle was involved in the crash. The State Patrol responded to the traffic accident shortly after 7 p.m. Monday. Goodhue County first responders found the vehicle overturned onto its roof. 

The single vehicle crash occurred on Hwy. 61 in Red Wing, just east of the Hwy. 63 bridge that crosses into Wisconsin.

A passenger SUV traveling north on the four-lane highway had drifted onto gravel and the driver was unable to correct and lost control of the vehicle, the state crash report says.

The SUV then crossed over the southbound lanes and went down a hill and landed on its roof on East 5th St. on the south side of the Hwy. 61 bridge that passes over the city street.

49-year-old Anthony John Cuchetti of Red Wing has been identified as the driver. 

Cuchetti and his three passengers, identified as 39-year-old Lacy Kate Schumann, a 12-year-old boy and five-year-old boy also from Red Wing, were taken to a hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.

All four of the SUV’s occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the report says. 

The Red Wing Police Department and Red Wing Fire Department also responded to the crash.
